P2P (peer-to-peer) connections allow direct data exchange in any format among the connected machines. Xcelerator offers to speed up this type of connection by helping your P2P client use more seeds. This program has the advantage that, unlike other P2P accelerators available, it has not been designed to work with a particular client.
This software has a well-designed interface, which favors ease of use. You would only need three actions to operate this program. First, the program identifies available P2P clients, so you can use this list to start running the desired P2P client. Then, there is a button to activate acceleration. Finally, you would need to choose a network adapter. Regarding this last step, you should be careful to select the active network interface or the program will not speed up the current connection. There is also a button to quit the program. You will also find the Statistics panel, which shows data about the active connection both in numbers and graphical form. The program is automatically started with the system, and stays minimized in the System Tray, from where you can access it by clicking on its icon.
In general, Xcelerator is a robust and intuitive application. It will run almost unnoticeably in the background.
